The countryside is land outside towns and cities, with fields,
woods, etc. The word countryside is uncountable, which means
that you cannot use it in the plural or with the indefinite article.
For example, the sentence "England has a beautiful countryside"
would be wrong. You would have to say something like
"The English countryside is beautiful".
